About
“If we all do one random act of kindness daily, we just might set the world in the right direction.” Martin Kornfled
Our Mission
We bring individuals and corporations together to meet the needs of the underprivileged and reduce food waste.
Pay It Forward
These aren’t isolated accounts. Amidst the glossy, towering skyscrapers of Singapore’s cityscape, loneliness, helplessness and hunger prevail.
You might not notice them every day, but that doesn’t mean they don’t exist.
Perhaps you can’t eradicate hunger and poverty in a day, but you can lend a helping hand.
When you pay it forward, you participate in an act of kindness without expecting anything in return. When you are a recipient of kindness, you can’t help but want to pay it forward because you know how important it is to realise that somebody cares.
The Cycle of Kindness
You perpetuate a cycle of kindness that keeps on giving.
The world has been hit hard with economic downturns and social distancing, which make us feel less secure financially and socially. People are focused on protecting themselves as charities and NGOs struggle to mobilise funds for social causes.
This is why Gmeal was established. With Gmeal, you don’t need to shell out a huge sum to transform someone else’s circumstances.
For the cost of a meal, you could make someone’s day and foster a more caring society.
We can be the change we want to see. It starts with you...
Founder's Story
When I was a kid, my family received thousands of donations and small handwritten notes with well wishes from fundraising for my mum’s medical fee.
I remember vividly some old and tattered notes big and small from kind-hearted souls and the power of a small act of kindness. So, we used the surplus from the funds to help other patients and continue the chain of kindness.
We are blessed with a comfortable life now, the lesson of paying it forward has never left me. Small gestures make a huge impact on the world. This is the message that I want to spread to the world.
All of us can be the change we want to see, and it truly does start with us.
